Samson Koske

Welcome to Kabngetuny Farmers Cooperative Society. Mr Samson Koske was elected to the Board in the year 1997 and has been re-elected every 3 years to date. During his tenure Production of coffee cherry rose from 12,000kg to an average of 600,000 kg per year to date. The Quality of coffee cherry also rose from class 6 in 1997 to class 4+ in the year 2021 and Cup quality 78% to 88% (SCA) with zero AA grade to 95% premium coffee. Mr Samson Koske is a holder of UTZ 2012 Fairtrade Certificate from 2012 to date.

His other achievements include leading the Society to establish the first ever women and youth empowerment in coffee farming and now we have Kabngetuny Coffee Women Organization. In conjuction with Fairtrade Africa and Fairtrade Foundation, Spear headed construction of 300 biogas digesters in every household in 2015 to mitigate against climate change. He is also working on coffee value addition under trade Mark Zawadi Coffee as well as a Retired Accountant from Moi University, the Immediate Director Nairobi Coffee Exchange and a Director Fairtrade Africa.
